Weight Watchers Recipes – The Snack Dilemma


Good snacks are hard to find in weight watchers recipes. I used to chow down on sunflower seeds and potato chips while driving on long road trips. My calorie counts were going through the roof and it was not hard to realize that the seeds and the chips had to go.





I switched to trail mix type snacks. You know, nuts, berries, raisins and that kind of stuff. A very tasty and nutritious snack. Do not assume that it is very low in calories. Very high in calories as a matter of fact. Very high in fat as well. Trail mix is still a very good snack. Just watch the volume that you eat so that you do not go over your daily calorie count.

As humans we graze. It was not that long ago (hundreds of years) that we roamed the grasslands looking for food. We were looking for food most of the time at the same time we were exercising most of the time. Not too many obese cave men walking around. You could argue life expectancy was not very long either, but the sabre tooth tiger is extinct and medical practice has come a long way.
