Lower Back Pain – Are you sure?

We all experience lower back pain at some time. At times it is so uncomfortable we don't want to move. It even makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning.

At the root of the problem is the spine and the central nervous system. If you have serious bone issues then that is another problem, and yet you can experience relief.

I hurt myself when I was 14 in a hockey game. It has been misdiagnosed for many years. My physiotherapist discovered that the problem was in my sciatica and that my hip joints and muscle were as tight as steel cable. After some light traction (in the office for a few minutes) some massage and some hard work on my part I can do all the things I want to do.

I have heard that the source of discomfort is very often tightness in the hips and buttocks putting pressure on the sciatica.

Make a physiotherapist a part of your team. Your doctor will look towards medication and surgery to fix your ailment. The physiotherapist is going to pin point the problem.
