Exercise Break? - Best Answer

Is it okay to take an exercise break every now and then?

I usually exercise about 5 times a week for around an hour and 10-20 minutes however, sometimes I just want to take a break! I haven't exercised for 4 days now and want to take at least a week off. Is it okay if I do take a break? I do watch what I eat though in those few days, as in I count calories and not over-eat.

Best Answer - Chosen by VotersYes and No. Yes it is a very good idea to get off of routine - as it is refreshing and energizing to go back after the break. Now, what you do on the break is what makes it a good idea to stop or not. Walking the family pet;getting in some golf or other sport; get some biking in or go to a hot yoga class - all great ways of taking a break.

Keep counting the calories, as you may want to reduce slightly on the break, and stay away from the couch - you will be fine!
